From 2021 to 2023, she worked as Resident Assistant Director at Staatsschauspiel Dresden—one of Germany’s leading and largest state theatres—where she collaborated on numerous productions including: Lulu (dir. Simon Werdelis), Jason & Medea Medley (dir. Jaz Woodcock-Stewart) and many others. Her time there also included independent work: she led a community theatre group, culminating in Between the Lines, and developed her own experimental piece Please Don’t Kill the Weib.
Whilst there, she created a new monthly evening where the assistants at the theatre could showcase their own work on the black box stage.
In addition to directing, Fiona writes for stage and page. Her short play Dearly Distracted was selected for Page 2 Stage Edinburgh, and her poetry has appeared in Visual Verse.
Fluent in both English and German, Fiona works internationally and values the creative freedom that travel brings. Outside of theatre, she enjoys being in nature and making music.
